Science Club for Girls (SCFG) and the Cambridge STEAM Initiative are excited to share data from the Longitudinal Study of SCFG alums. The study collected feedback from 70 alums who participated in the SCFG's programming — which serves girls and gender-expansive youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade — to evaluate how alums’ experiences influenced their career paths, motivation to pursue STEM fields, and leadership development.

Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Namwali Serpell—professor of English at Harvard University and acclaimed author of The Old Drift and The Furrows—for a discussion of her highly anticipated new book, On Morrison, an extraordinary assessment of Toi Morrison. She will be joined in conversation by Tracy K. Smith—the Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory at Harvard University, former Poet Laureate of the United States, and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of the poetry collection Life on Mars. The goal of this Committee is to work with City staff to develop recommendations on how the City can better assist BIPOC-owned businesses. The Committee will be a sounding board for ideas on strengthening the City’s outreach efforts, information-sharing, business programs and policies, and overall relationship with local BIPOC-owned businesses.
