We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for our monthly evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required. Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our April book is Howliday Inn by James Howe. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the O'Connell Branch. Please register below if you would like to attend virtually. Celebrate Summer Reading's "Plant a Seed, Read" theme! Paint a pot and grab a plant of your own to take home. Browse through a selection of books about our environment and the natural world. Registration is encouraged but not necessary.

Join us for an evening of board games. We have a range of classic, strategy, and party games including Bananagrams, Chess, Ticket to Ride, Azul, and more! Feel free to bring a board game to play with others. We will provide pizza and beverages. Registration helpful.

Please join the Library in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the publication of Phillis Wheatley's poems with a poetry reading and workshop. Organized by the poet Artress Bethany White—the co-editor of Wheatley at 250: Black Women Poets Re-imagine the Verse of Phillis Wheatley Peters—this event will open with an African drumming prelude, followed by a presentation on Wheatley's life and work as well as a reading by contemporary poets inspired by Wheatley and collected in Wheatley at 250, and concluding with a short writing exercise designed to engage the audience with Wheatley's poems.

Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to color and chat with your neighbors. Coloring supplies and snacks will be provided. No registration required!
