Board of Zoning Appeal Meeting Minutes

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Pauline Wells have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred this morning, Saturday, July 4th, in Cambridge. The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim, identified as Xavier Bautista, 32 from Cambridge , was shot shortly before 4:30 a.m. his body was located by a pedestrian at around 5:30 a.m. who called 911. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Cambridge Police Department at (617) 349-3300. The Committee on Public Planting is charged with the responsibility of promoting and improving the quality and diversity of plantings throughout all areas of Cambridge. This includes reviewing planting plans for new public work in the city; advising the city on effective maintenance of public plantings; supporting the role of the Urban Forestry Division; and encouraging interest in public plantings in all neighborhoods.
