Zing Laser Cutting 101 (Main)
Learn how to use our Epilog Zing—an industry-standard laser cutting machine. Complete this workshop to earn a badge for the Zing laser cutter. With a badge, you can reserve the Epilog Zing to use on our equipment booking page at designated times.
You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.
Please arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will not be able to join the class.
Magic the Gathering for Kids (Main)
Do you want to learn to play Magic the Gathering? Are you an expert with your cards? Magic the Gathering is a card game that focuses on strategy and collecting cards that excite you. By attending this, you'll learn the basics, get a chance to brush up on your skills, and battle each other one-on-one. New player or seasoned planeswalker, this is the place for you!
This program is intended for ages 10 - 12. It will take place over three sessions. Pre-registration is required to attend.
LGBTQ+ Film series
Film: Pride (1h.59 mi, 2014)
We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space to view and discuss movies with LGBTQ+ themes and content. Friends, family members, caretakes and allies are encouraged to participate.
Mental Health First Aid (Main)
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance use challenges. The course will cover risk factors and warning signs, an understanding of the impact on individuals, family and community and an overview of treatment interventions. Participants will have an opportunity to learn and practice a five-step action plan to assess a situation, implement interventions and secure appropriate care for the person experiencing a crisis.

Preschool Programs
The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP) is a publicly-funded program that provides free or affordable, high-quality early education and care for all Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds. CPP covers the cost of the school-day, school-year portion of programs. Depending on a family's income, there may be additional costs for full-day, full-year (including summer) preschool. Families apply to CPP through a single, centralized online application. DHSP Preschools are partner of CPP.
Budgeting with Google Sheets (Main)
Learn how to use Google Sheets (Google's version of Excel) to create a budget! You will learn how to use Google Sheets budgeting templates and enter data in a friendly learning environment. A Gmail account is required for this class - please remember your password!

CANCELLED-Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)
Would you like to make your own vinyl signs, stickers, or images to transfer to T-shirts and other textiles? In this workshop, you can learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. You can then design a sticker and cut it with our vinyl cutter! Registration is required.

Remembering Hard Histories: Slavery in New England (Main)
Please join Kyera Singleton, Executive Director of the Royall House and Slave Quarters in Medford, MA, for a presentation about the history of slavery in the North, the origins of the Royall House and Slave Quarters and the importance of remembering hard histories.
As one of the only remaining freestanding quarters where enslaved people lived and worked in the North, the Royall House and Slave Quarters bears witness to the lives of its residents, to the intertwined stories of wealth and bondage in pre-Revolutionary Massachusetts, and to the resistance and political and legal activism of enslaved and free Black people in the eighteenth century. The Cambridge Public Library is proud to offer passes to the museum during its tour season (June to October).
Sing-Along and Story Time in Mandarin (Main)
We invite children and their caregivers to a 30-minute session of songs and stories in Mandarin Chinese with Mina (Yating) Fan, a local mother and educator. This fun and interactive session brings families together to enjoy lively songs and engaging stories in a warm, welcoming environment.
This program can accommodate 45 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. Gmail Basics - Manage your inbox and storage (Main)
Learn how to check your Gmail storage and how to manage your inbox by labeling, archiving and deleting emails. A Google (Gmail) account is required for the class. Please remember your email address and password, you will need them to sign in and practice during the class.
