Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to color and chat with your neighbors. Coloring supplies and snacks will be provided. No registration required! EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY, JULY 24. Art on a nice Summer night? Nothing sounds better than that! Come to the Library and enjoy an art filled evening learning the techniques of watercolor painting. In partnership with artist Brooke Lambert, a professional printmaker and painter, she will take you through this guided art class. The library will provide all materials.
CPL Nature Club: Reading with Ducks from Land's Sake Farm (Valente Reading Garden)
Meet a swimming, quacking friend at a duck-themed story time, learn about duck behavior and anatomy, and do a themed activity! Best of all, in the Duck Circle, youth are able to touch and interact with a live duck. Due to the particularly fine weather, this program will meet in the Valente Reading Garden, at the corner of Cambridge Street and Berkshire Street. This program is for children of all ages, with a caregiver. Registration is required. When registering, please indicate how many children are attending. Time Out for Public Art Tactile Talks: Millers River Apartments
Join us for a guided 30-minute Tactile Talk featuring the 102 beloved mosaics recently reinstalled after extensive conservation at Millers River Apartments. These murals were originally created in 1979 by Lilli Ann Rosenberg with help from residents and children. We will meet at the entrance to Millers River Apartments at 15 Lambert St. This event is part of our Time Out for Public Art series in collaboration with Cambridge Arts. In September, these will be Tactile Talks, shorter visits perfect for all ages and abilities. Registration is required.
Board Game Night for Adults (Central Square)
Join us for an evening of board games. We have: Wingspan, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Azul, Splendor, Scrabble, chess, checkers, Bananagrams, and more! Feel free to bring a board game to play with others. We will provide pizza and beverages. Registration helpful.

Chef Ashley is a Boston-based Filipina American chef and the creator of Mango Tao, a pop‑up culinary experience that showcases modern Filipino cuisine and Southeast Asian flavors through rotating menus, collaborations with local restaurants, and immersive events. A Food Network Chopped champion and former executive chef of Myers + Chang, Chef Ashley blends her cultural heritage with contemporary culinary techniques to craft vibrant, nostalgic, and inventive dishes rooted in Filipino tradition. Through her work, she aims to share Filipino cuisine with diverse audiences and uplift the Asian American and Filipino communities in Boston.

Meet Godmother Glitter as she protects the Enchanted Castle from the dragon. Enjoy a selection of fun stories and meet all kinds of puppets from a unicorn and a rabbit to a prince and a frog. Recommended for children ages 3 and up and their caregivers.
