Calling all bakers for a pie potluck! Make a pie and come bring it to share with others. Share recipes and samples of everyone's favorite fall snack. Various baking and pie cookbooks are available for pickup at the Branch.

This will be an opportunity for older adults to meet with the newest members of the Cambridge Police Community Outreach Team and to learn about all the ways that the Cambridge Police work.

Have clothes to mend or craft projects to work on? Join us for our new monthly meetup! Bring what you are working on and we will provide basic mending supplies. Registration is required.

Due to the temporary closure of the O'Neill Branch, this month's story time will happen at the Peabody School at 70 Rindge Ave. Please enter the building on the back side through Door 11. Put on your pajamas and come to listen to stories, read with your children, and enjoy a snack before bed! This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.

Jump-start your job search with an easy, hands-on introduction to AI tools that can help you shine. Learn how to strengthen your resume, explore new career paths, and build a confident professional brand — no tech experience needed. Led by The Hope Group, an award-winning Boston-based AI education team, in collaboration with the Cambridge Public Library.

This CPR class will cover life-saving skills for infants, children and adults. We will use multi-media and hands-on practice to be sure students acquire skills and confidence to assist in a life-saving medical situation. This class will also cover training and the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for all ages, along with life-saving skills in choking situations. Students will receive their certificate upon completion of class. Please note that the City is not responsible for the content or training equipment. Space is limited (20 adults), registration is required. Note for CONFIRMED registrants: Your spot is held until the program start time. Once the program begins, we will fill in open spots from a day-of waiting list until the program reaches capacity. Please plan to arrive at the library approximately 15 minutes before the start time to ensure adequate time to check in before the program begins. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Come spend the afternoon getting deeply acquainted with May's Herb of the Month - the plantain! We’ll spend time getting to know the plant through drawing, taste, science, and stories of herbalists’ experience. Bring your journal and leave with an in-depth account of botany, history, use, safety issues, preparation and dosage, and much much more. The group will meet at the Collins Library (64 Aberdeen Ave) and walk to Fresh Pond together. This program is part of a series hosted around the area with guest herbalist, Mo Katz-Christy. Come each month to build your materia medica or just once to meet a new plant friend!
