The City of Cambridge announced that, beginning Saturday, December 4, it is expanding its free COVID-19 testing program to five days per week. Through a new partnership with CIC Health, the City will launch a pilot appointment-only testing site by offering 300 appointments on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at CIC Health’s 295 Third Street location in Cambridge. In the coming weeks, the number of appointments at this pilot testing site will be expanded.

Just A Start (JAS) is hosting a second AHO community meeting on November 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss plans for the proposed development at 240 Broadway (also known as Broadway Park) as 100% affordable housing. Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale today announced that the City has distributed $88,308 to Cambridge residents and families from the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund—just five days after the fund began accepting applications.

Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Robert J. Sampson—Woodford L. and Ann A. Flowers University Professor at Harvard University, Affiliated Research Professor at the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences—for a discussion of his new book Marked by Time: How Social Change Has Transformed Crime and the Life Trajectories of Young Americans. He will be joined in conversation by Robert D. Putnam—Malkin Research Professor of Public Policy, Emeritus at Harvard University and recipient of the National Humanities Medal by President Barack Obama. Registration is required.
