City of Cambridge Amends Temporary Emergency Restrictions on Public Meetings and Events
The City of Cambridge announced that all City-sponsored community events, events permitted for the use of City parks, or other City-sponsored public gatherings will be cancelled through October 26, 2020, or postponed to a later date. All prior approvals for events or gatherings are revoked. The City Manager’s Office is collaborating with the City’s COVID-19 Expert Advisory Panel, the Commissioner of Public Health, and the Cambridge Public Health Department to evaluate and determine what Halloween activities will be allowed in the City. Further guidance on Halloween activities in the City to be announced the week of October 12.

CALEA Accreditation Assessment Team Invites Public Comment
A site-based assessment team from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), will arrive on Monday, August 18th through Thursday, August 21st to examine all aspects of the Cambridge Police Department policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services. Verification by the team that the Cambridge Police Department meets the Commission’s state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to gain accreditation – a highly prized recognition of public safety professional excellence. Community Nights at Russell Youth Center
Beginning Friday, February 27, CYP is launching Community Friday Nights, a weekly program designed to bring neighbors of all ages together in a welcoming and positive environment. Join us at Russell Youth and Community Center every Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. for an evening filled with engaging activities, meaningful connections, and opportunities to build stronger relationships within the neighborhood and across the city.
Early Voting Underway for the 2024 Presidential Primary
Any registered voter can vote early now through Friday, March 1, 2024 at 12 p.m. Unlike Election Day, you are not assigned to a polling location during the early voting period.
