Upgrades to the Sullivan Chamber, Ackermann Room, and Sophie J. Anastos Room

The transformation of the historic Foundry Building at 101 Rogers Street is nearing completion following COVID related construction delays and is expected to open this fall. This massive brick building, originally constructed as an iron foundry in 1889, is an adaptive reuse project that will reopen as a self-sustaining center for creativity and collaboration for the Cambridge community.

The Cambridge Human Rights Commission (CHRC) is dedicated to upholding and safeguarding the fundamental human rights of residents and visitors to the City of Cambridge. CHRC works to eradicate discrimination through an investigative process, proactive community outreach, and collaborations with City and community partners. CIRC acts as a centralizing organization in Cambridge to address immigrant rights and citizenship issues by providing information, referrals, and guidance to residents seeking assistance. CIRC also coordinates and collaborates with other city departments and external organizations and individuals that support immigrant rights and citizenship.

The group seeks to examine ways to reform community safety in Cambridge by mitigating police response to select calls for service, while enhancing community cohesion to include restorative processes.

The Comedy Studio, a beloved cornerstone of the local comedy scene, is thrilled to announce its return to Harvard Square. In the spirit of community and laughter, The Comedy Studio will host two shows this June on Thursday, June 12th at 6 PM in Brattle Square and Sunday, June 15th at 5 PM in Porter Square. Governor Baker announced that he will institute a statewide rollback to Phase III, Step 1 of the Commonwealth’s Reopening Plan on Sunday, December 13. Cambridge has remained at Step 1 of Phase III since the summer.
