Keeping Cambridge Clean ($100,000)
Replace 10 trash barrels and recycling containers, making them rodent-proof and environmentally friendly. Big Belly trash cans will keep the streets clean, prevent pests from being drawn to waste bins, and make it easier to properly dispose of different kinds of waste.
Civil Service Exam Information Session Scheduled for 2-26
The Cambridge Police Department is partnering with Massachusetts Civil Service to host an information session on the upcoming police exam. Join us on February 26th to learn more about the exam, the CPD hiring process, and career opportunities with the CPD.
Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot Recommended for Some Groups
A booster shot is an extra dose of a vaccine that can help 'boost' the immune system to better protect against disease. COVID-19 vaccines work very well to protect against serious illness and death. However, protection against more moderate disease may decrease over time. Recent research shows that a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot strengthens the immune response in people who had had their second Pfizer shot at least 6 months earlier.
Let Us Remember Cambridge Memorial Peace Garden
The Peace Garden will honor the lives of residents who fall victim to violence. It will offer a serene space for all to find refuge in the face of tragic loss, and will serve as a gathering place for community healing and connection.
