Overhead Wire Removal Continuing October 1
The MBTA is continuing to decommission its Overhead Catenary System (OCS) which had supported its recently retired Electric Trolley Bus Fleet. There will be a crew on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 working from 6am to 6pm.
Community Benefits Funding
The Community Benefits Advisory Committee acts on the Guiding Principles for Community Benefits Funding, adopted by the Cambridge City Council, and makes recommendations to the City Manager for the approval of grant awards with nonprofit organizations to deliver services.
Prevention & Public Awareness
The prevalence rates of domestic and gender-based violence are staggering. They are issues that impact all of us and also issues that many people struggle to understand. The DGBVPI works to raise public awareness and understanding through trainings, social media campaigns, visual displays, workshops, etc. The Initiative also works with various organizations to create prevention strategies that are appropriate for their needs, setting, and population.
