The Cambridge - Northeastern Police Academy is a Massachusetts Police Training Council (MPTC) certified training academy for new student officers. All elements of the Academy experience are aligned with the four pillars of procedural justice: fairness, voice, transparency, and impartiality.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is hosting a Civil Service Police Exam in March of 2026. This exam is the first step in applying for a career with the CPD and many other civil service police departments.

Pool party for trans and gender expansive people. Trans-centered, all are welcome. A party for all ages (children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult). The Leaf Blower Ordinance will require the reduction of noise and emissions of particulate matter resulting from the use of leaf blowers to protect the public health, welfare and environment of the City of Cambridge and its citizens.

In February, join us for one of two City Budget Walk Throughs, where City leaders and staff will break down how the budget is developed, how funding decisions are made, and how residents can meaningfully participate in future budget-shaping opportunities.

This program will happen outdoors at Donnelly Field. In case of inclement weather, it will occur in the gym at King Open School. Put on your dancing shoes for an unforgettable workshop of hula hoop magic with Kat Suwalski! You will learn basic hooping moves while increasing hand-eye coordination, strength, balance, and agility. No prior hooping experience is required. Hoops are provided. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.
