Many city buildings have heavy doors without automatic openers, often making access to these buildings a challenge. Touchless automatic door openers benefit those who are elderly, pregnant, using wheelchairs or walkers, pushing strollers, concerned about germs, or anyone who has their hands full.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. For September we will read "Sweeping Past" from Gold Boy, Emerald Girl by Yiyun Li. Copies of the Story are available for checkout at the branch, though no preparation is needed. Please drop in!

The event was hosted by the Cambridge STEAM Initiative in partnership with the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA), Cambridge Rindge and Latin School , and the City’s Office of Workforce Development.

All Library locations will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sep. 1 for Labor Day.

Franklin Street, between Pleasant Street and Landsdowne Street, is scheduled for street and sidewalk reconstruction in 2018.

TP+T received a petition from a group of Cambridge residents requesting that we add "Parking by Permit Only" signs in the Cambridge Highlands. The City conducted a survey to gauge neighborhood interest in this change, which was completed on April 30th.

Close out Summer Reading with stories, chalk drawing, and a summer treat. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required. In the case of inclement weather, this program will take place in the Children's Room. Please call 617-349-4012 for more information.
