Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Julieta and the Diamond Enigma by Luisana Duarte Armendáriz. When a diamond goes missing from the Louvre, it is up to nine-year-old Julieta to identify the thief, exonerate her father, and return home to Boston before her baby brother is born. Includes glossary of French and Spanish words and notes about the Regent Diamond, Athena, and works of art mentioned in the book. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family. To check-out a copy of the book, stop by the Children’s Room after you've registered. Cambridge, in partnership with Watertown, was awarded a community grant from the Barr Foundation to work with the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) to pilot bus priority improvements for routes 71 and 73 along Mt. Auburn Street west of Fresh Pond Parkway. The demonstration project includes the first dedicated bus lanes in Cambridge and new bike lanes, as well as transit signal priority. It uses temporary materials like paint and signs, which will remain in place during the evaluation, and is the first step towards implementing a long-term plan for the Mt. Auburn corridor.

We are a city that cares about climate change and about each other. City staff and engaged residents are making progress on efforts to create a stronger, cleaner, and more connected city for all.

The purpose of this survey is to hear from community members about their experiences and their ideas and hopes for LGBTQ+ friendly housing and spaces in Cambridge. This survey is open to any LGBTQ+ person who has lived in Cambridge or currently lives in Cambridge. Survey responses are anonymous. The survey results will be used to inform the recommendations provided by the LGBTQ+ Housing Task Force. The survey will be open February 6-16, 2024.
