The Bridge to College Program, run by the Cambridge Community Learning Center, helps adults prepare for college by offering free evening classes in reading, writing, math, and study skills. Open to Cambridge residents and select nearby communities, the program supports students—especially immigrants and adult learners—in developing the skills and confidence to succeed in higher education.

Expect rolling road closures and traffic on Saturday, July 22, for the Run to Home Base 5K and 9K road races. Both races begin in Boston and cross into Cambridge over the Mass Ave Bridge.

The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) accepts and processes applications for License to Carry (LTC) & Firearm Identification Card (FID). CPD will only accept and process License to Carry (LTC) & Firearm Identification Card (FID) applications that are complete.

Cambridge Works, the City of Cambridge's transitional jobs program, is recruiting! You will learn how to use a web browser on your smartphone, how to use search engines, and to stay safe on the internet. This class will be delivered by a DOORS program instructor. Get to know Rob Linke, Operations Manager with the Department of Public Works (DPW). Linke is involved with several important City operations, including working in the planning administration division, helping coordinate special events as the DPW representative on the special events committee, and supporting the City’s outdoor permitting program.

The Historical Commission staff can make presentations in the classroom to elementary school children on a number of local history topics.
