It's a weekly block party! Join friends to design and build amazing LEGO structures. Let your imagination run wild! For children ages 5 and up (children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver).
The Children's Room has plenty of LEGO pieces, so you don't need to bring your own. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children. This program can accommodate 30 builders. . Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. This program starts promptly and any unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. Summer Fitness: Strength Training for Beginners (Main)
Curious about strength training but unsure where to begin? This welcoming, beginner-friendly program is designed to remove the uncertainty and help you build a strong, confident foundation—safely and effectively.
Led by master fitness trainer, author, and motivational speaker Shaun Zetlin, this session introduces simple, practical bodyweight exercises that focus on stability, strength, and power. Participants will learn how to move with proper form, reduce the risk of injury, and incorporate efficient, effective workouts into a busy schedule—no gym required. All exercises are approachable and adaptable, with many options performed at home using minimal or no equipment.
Registration is preferred not required.
Summer Reading: Seed Art and Mosaics with Hands on Nature (Main)
Join us for a simple discussion on the life cycle of a plant, then make some seed art to take home! Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.
This program can accommodate 50 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. Parent/Child (ages 7-9) Book Group (Main)
Join us for a lively discussion of a great early middle grade book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-9 and a caregiver.
This month’s book will be Real Pigeons Fight Crime! by Andrew McDonald. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s—wait, it really IS a bird! Take another look, because what looks like an ordinary pigeon might just be a hero saving your butt! Meet the crime-fighting pigeons secretly flying around chasing bad guys in the first book of this series.
Both caregiver and child should read the book before the meeting, copies are available behind the Children’s Desk. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family.

Cambridge NITES - SheRocks the Local Scene
Remnant Satellite is set to highlight the power of women through their SheRocks the Local Scene event. This weekend-long, woman-focused event has a little something for everyone including live bands, DJ sets, drag performances, and an open mic
