The City of Cambridge is moving forward with safety upgrades on Main Street, building on the foundation laid by community outreach efforts in 2023 through the Main Street Safety Improvement Project. These changes aim to enhance safety and accessibility for all road users by installing separated bike lanes, improving pedestrian crossings, and introducing measures to slow vehicle speeds.

The Walden Square Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) Project is located in the vicinity of 99 Sherman Street. The City has designated this area for redesign to help reduce the amount of storm water that goes into the city drainage system in order to prevent flooding during heavy rain events. The I&I project at Walden Square encompasses three parcels of land with the first parcel being the surface parking lot at Danehy Park, the second being the roadway at Sherman Street, and the third being the surface lot at the Walden Square Apartments.

The CHA is hosting their second AHO community meeting on October 9, 2025 at 6 p.m. to discuss plans for the proposed revitalization at Corcoran Park as 100% affordable housing. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! This month, we're celebrating soups and other warm, savory foods that are extra nice in the winter. Bring a dish to share, or just come to talk about your experience with a chosen cookbook. All experience levels welcome! No need to bring a dish to join. The Hastings Room Reading Series and the Cambridge Public Library are excited to welcome two award-winning poets to the Library for a poetry reading. Denise Duhamel and Martha Collins will both read from recent works. The reading will take place in the Main Library's Community Room at 7 p.m. on May 1, 2025.
