This Month's Read: A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine Reading Interests: The group concentrates on science fiction and fantasy. An advanced reading schedule is published each summer. Example selections include: Neuromancer by William Gibson and The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. Requirements: A love of speculative fiction and a desire to talk about books. The group is friendly and informal. How to get the print book: Copies of the print book are set aside at the Main Library Question and Answer desk on the ground floor. A block party is a community event hosted on a City street by a group of neighbors, a non-profit organization, or an association. During a block party, a portion a single block is closed to through traffic.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 27-28. The Cambridge Fire Department has also issued a reminder about fire safety during the holiday.

The Building Energy Use Disclosure Ordinance lays out steps for non-residential buildings 100,000 square feet or larger to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035, and for non-residential buildings with more than 25,000 square feet to reach net zero by 2050.

We will be hosting our first working group meeting for the Mass Ave Planning Study on Wednesday, February 7 at 6 PM.
