The City of Cambridge announced that free COVID-19 testing will be offered in North Cambridge next week on June 9, 11, and 13. Cambridge residents age 8 and older are welcome, regardless of insurance or immigration status.

A suspect wanted in connection with a January double stabbing on White Street in Cambridge has been taken into custody.

Following an ongoing investigation into three separate sexual assaults that have been reported this year, the Cambridge Police today released a series of videos and surveillance photos of a suspect they are attempting to identify and locate. The suspect is believed to be associated with all three indecent assault reports.

After an extensive investigation that spanned several months, two suspects wanted in connection with a February 15, 2022 shooting on Windsor Street have been taken into custody.

New to Medicare is a workshop presented by a Minuteman Senior Services state-certified Medicare benefits counselor. This program is aimed at people who are turning 65 or leaving an employer group health plan due to retirement. Topics include Medicare benefits and coverage gaps, when to apply for Medicare, how to apply for Medicare, health insurance plans that work with Medicare, understanding premiums, deductibles and maximum out of pocket costs, and choosing the right supplement plan. It also covers special considerations and the consequences of not enrolling at the right time. This workshop will be led by Marion Severynse, a Cambridge resident and certified Medicare benefits counselor. Marion volunteers for Minuteman Senior Services SHINE program helping people with their Medicare related questions. This is a free service funded, in part, by the Administration for Community Living. Join us for an hour of songs, stories, and social meet-up in Mandarin Chinese with JingJing and Chelsea, two local mothers and educators. This fun and interactive session brings families together in a warm, welcoming environment. This event is for children and their caregivers. In the first half, listen to engaging stories and sing lively songs. In the second half, children will do an activity, and everyone will have an opportunity to socialize.
