It's creepy crawly week at the Library! Families with elementary school-age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together! In March we will be joined by author and illustrator Lindsey Leigh to learn about drawing and cartooning animals!

The Affordable Housing Trust's April meeting is cancelled. The next CAHT meeting is currently scheduled for May 22nd at 4 p.m via Zoom and in the Ackermann Room. Response to Cambridge City Council Awaiting Report Item Number 20-41, regarding a report on the feasibility of an alternative Public Safety Crisis Response System, received from Police Commissioner Branville G. Bard, Assistant City Manager for Human Services Ellen Semonoff, Chief Public Health Officer Claude Jacob and Director of Emergency Communications Christina Giacobbe.

On Monday, October 26, the Cambridge Public Health Department was alerted through the MAVEN surveillance system and the facility that a resident of an assisted living facility in Cambridge tested positive for COVID-19. This individual experienced symptoms of COVID-19 before being brought to a local hospital for evaluation, where they tested positive and were admitted.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025 CPD joined other community members on the lawn of City Hall for the annual Domestic Violence Vigil. The vigil is held each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to honor the Massachusetts women, men, and children who have tragically lost their lives during domestic violence incidents over the past year.

Sacred Songs and Rituals brings Kendra Comstock, soprano, and Charles Iner, lute, to explore Catholic persecution during the English Renaissance and the forms of secret musical resistance Catholic musicians created during this time. Sacred Songs and Rituals is a Cambridge Public Library music series celebrating the divine in the many cultures found in Cambridge.
