This accreditation is considered the gold standard in law enforcement and mirrors the department’s mission of procedurally just policing.

Cambridge Police Department Participates in Domestic Violence Awareness Month Vigil
CPD participated in the City of Cambridge’s candlelight vigil on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. outside City Hall. The annual vigil honors the Massachusetts women, men, and children who have tragically lost their lives to domestic violence since last October. Local domestic violence prevention agencies will have resources for survivors and information for the community on how to recognize and talk about domestic violence.
