Let’s talk about your favorite comics! Bring in a graphic novel and share your thoughts on why it’s great – or even why it’s terrible. Each month will feature a different reading challenge – you get to pick any comic that you think matches the theme! Celebrate comics with snacks, books, and maybe even the chance to make one yourself! This month’s theme, we're celebrating women artists! Bring in your favorite graphic novel or manga from a female creator and share it. Snacks are provided. This program is for ages 9-12. The United States Postal Service established the Cambridge Postal Advisory Council (CPAC) in 1991 to serve as a community resource in terms of offering the customers’ perspective on the nature and quality of mail delivery service and other postal services in the City of Cambridge.

The City of Cambridge is extending the current prohibition on City-sponsored community events, events permitted for the use of City parks, or other City-sponsored public gatherings through March 31, 2021. Additionally, to ensure the safety of the public and City staff, in-person appointments at City buildings, including contactless holds pick-up at the Cambridge Public Library, will be suspended from Saturday, January 2, 2021, through Monday, January 18, 2021.

A Moving Van Permit allows you to reserve curb space for the purpose of parking a vehicle on a City street while moving goods in or out of a building. Moving Van Permits can be issued for a maximum of three consecutive days.

Anyone can make a delicious herbal tea blend! In this class, presented by herbalist Mo Katz-Christy, we will discuss a handful of common herbs for tea: their uses, flavors, energies, and what they add to a blend. We will smell each of the herbs and taste some as well, learning how the flavors blend and how they complement each other. Part information and science, part sensory exploration, this class will be as playful as it is educational! Bring your own jar to take your tea blend home. Registration is required and will open May 15.

Tarot tells the story of your life in pictures and is known as a mirror to the soul. Join healer, artist and educator Laura Campagna of Laura Campagna Astrology for drop-in tarot readings at the library. This program is for teens ages 12-18. Join local artist Brooke Lambert for an introduction to painting with watercolor. Learn at your own pace to paint still life in a relaxed and welcoming environment. This class will introduce techniques in color mixing, observational painting and composition. You will come away from this class with beautiful watercolor paintings and a greater understanding and appreciation for the medium of watercolor. This class is for adults with all levels of experiences and will cover wet on wet and wet on dry techniques, masking, pressing, shading and light techniques, ink washes and pattern making.
