The City of Cambridge will celebrate National Women’s Business Month during October to recognize the importance of women-owned businesses and highlight the women entrepreneurs who contribute so much to the local Cambridge economy.

Challenge your balance and willpower, build strength and confidence! Join us for a fun intro to martial arts! We will introduce basic kicks and self-defense. Recommended for kids aged 5 to 11, along with their caregivers (kids at heart). Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event has been moved to the Learning Lab at the Main Library, located at 449 Broadway, due to the temporary closing of the Valente Branch. Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class! This class will be taught at a beginner level. No testing is needed. Everyone is welcome. Funded equally by the City of Cambridge and CCF, the effort aims to shore up local food pantries preparing to meet increased demand in the coming weeks and provide greater food access to the City’s most vulnerable populations – particularly low-income eligible families with children and older adults.

During Open Shop, anyone who has completed Hive training and is badged can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Additionally, individuals are welcome to drop in to work on their projects independently. The Hive staff will assist with questions as they are able! New makers are also welcome to come in during open shop for a 10min drop in video safety training! Tool Reservations for this date will open two weeks prior from this date.
