CDD has completed its annual update to the stock of affordable housing units in the city.  There are now 8,931 affordable housing units in the city, a net increase of 340 affordable units from the 2023 total of 8,591 units. 

Highlights include: a proposed wet meadow restoration project in Weston, ongoing construction and improvements along Route 2 and 128 that will result in 5 new stormwater treatment and spill containment basins, improvements to 8 existing basins along Route 128, and the creation of vegetated swales in the Route 2 median.

Join Amy Meltzer as we discuss the following: The current biodiversity crisis The shared evolutionary history among native birds, insects and plants How your support of those relationships are necessary for the species' survival How your garden can support biodiversity How you can help our Cambridge public plantings thrive This is a hybrid event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. The in-person event will take place in the Learning Lab.

Turn paper cut-outs into animations with the Gif-O-Graf machine! See your stories come to life! This program is for families with children who are elementary school-age or older. No registration or experience is required.

Digital sign that will scroll announcements in multiple languages and welcome people to Cambridge. It will be easily seen when residents go by and will be a prototype that if successful can be replicated in other areas of the city.
