Meet Your Neighbor Month is organized by the Cambridge Peace Commission every year. The 2026 theme, Stories We Share: The Courage to Connect, is inspired by Welcoming America's Welcoming Week, reminds us that meaningful connections often begin by listening to and learning from one another. The Election Commission is responsible for managing and supervising elections and the annual census in the City. The Election Commission also manages municipal campaign finance reporting and administers and enforces the City’s Ethics Ordinance.

The City of Cambridge’s Inspectional Services Department offers free exterior rodent control services through its Private Property Rodent Control Program. Since launching in 2021, the program has helped over 900 qualified residential properties by providing professional inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits. Residents also receive education on effective rodent prevention techniques. The City encourages community-wide participation, as sanitation and shared responsibility are essential to keeping neighborhoods rodent-free.

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our inaugural meeting, we will discuss Walden Warming by Richard B. Primack. Whether you’re a regular journal writer or a person who thinks about journaling someday, join us for a session of guided creative exploration. In this supportive, low-pressure workshop, we’ll use simple, high impact prompts to spark memory and reflect upon the joys and challenges of growing older.
