The City of Cambridge launched the 9th Cycle of Participatory Budgeting (PB9) in 2022. Between June and July, community members submitted 1,320 ideas for how to spend $1 million on one-time capital projects to improve Cambridge. From August through November, volunteer PB Delegates researched all submitted project ideas and developed the final proposals for the PB9 vote.

Cambridge has cyclists aged under 8 to 80+. To educate and protect bicyclists and bicycles, we propose safety training for grade school students, offering free helmets, and the installation of an artistic bike shelter at the main library.

The City Manager’s Outstanding City Employee Award is an opportunity to recognize our colleagues for their exceptional contributions to public service. The Council on Aging (COA) has a free, accessible shuttle bus service that provides round-trip transportation from a resident’s home to the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.)
