In this class, Cambridge Public Library staff will teach you how to look for books, films, and other resources available in the catalog. We will review how to perform basic and advanced searches, learn how to log in to your account with your library card, and better understand all of the formats and locations available in the catalog. Attendees should be comfortable using the computer and navigating the Internet independently, but no prior knowledge of the catalog is needed. Registration is required.

Although mask orders are no longer in effect, many people in Cambridge continue to mask up in indoor settings and on public transportation. As you begin your holiday shopping or if you’re preparing in advance of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and/or Cyber Monday, the Cambridge Police Department wants to encourage residents and businesses to once again consider supporting the “Secret Santa for Seniors” gift drive. Now in its 18th year, the gift drive brings gifts and joy to seniors who may not have any remaining family members or loved ones nearby during the holiday season.

Learn about the privacy limitations of Artificial Intelligence (AI), misinformation and scams that use AI, and the social and ethical challenges presented by the introduction of this technology. Help the City of Cambridge better protect cultural spaces and identify opportunities to create new ones by answering our Cultural Spaces Survey.

Through the study, the City will work with the community and a stakeholder group to identify how to provide safe and comfortable north/south travel connections for people of all ages and abilities, regardless of their mode of transportation, between Binney Street and Cambridge Street.
