The City of Cambridge wants to know how Cambridge residents feel about the COVID-19 vaccine and what questions or concerns you may have to help us communicate important information more clearly to you and your community. Your answers will help the City plan how to share information with residents to help encourage everyone to get vaccinated.

Zanya Harriott has facilitated this workshop in Boston at the former City Pop Egleston community center and successfully led online sessions with diverse groups of people. During our guided movement and visualization sessions, participants will be gently encouraged to engage with their physical selves in meaningful ways. This isn’t just movement; it’s a journey toward self-love and body positivity. Picture it as an affirmative yoga experience—aimed at nurturing, rather than challenging, one’s personal journey. Due to COVID-19, farmers markets will be different this year - with masks, new layouts, and social distancing protocols. Markets are required to adhere to the Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health’s Order outlining mandatory measures to reduce the exposure of shoppers and market employees to COVID-19.

The Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program is a complementary grant program to the city’s Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant. It is a special program helping Cambridge’s U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) eligible for-profit retail, food, personal services, and creative businesses with a grant up to $10,000 per brick and mortar business. The program provides short-term working capital assistance to support businesses with inventory purchases (perishable and non-perishable), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) purchases or upgrades, and rent payments to enable businesses to open and ensure the retention of jobs after the severe interruption of business related to COVID-19 social distancing requirements.

City Manager Yi-An Huang is seeking volunteers to serve on a new Working Group to help guide the Mass Ave Partial Construction Project on Mass Ave, from Waterhouse Street to Alewife Brook Parkway. The Working Group is anticipated to be made up of 15-20 members, representing a diverse set of interests along the Mass Ave corridor to ensure that each perspective is heard and that there is adequate representation reporting back to the larger community. The Working Group will include residents, business owners, institutional representatives, and a variety of people that use the corridor to live, work, walk, bike or take the bus.

The Ciity continues to introduce advanced vehicle technologies into its fleet in order to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and transition to clean energy.
