Students will learn how to approach a human portrait drawing from start to finish.

Come explore the nature in our urban backyard! We will take a leisurely walk as we observe and learn together about the animals and plants at Alewife Reservation. You are welcome to bring binoculars, magnifying glasses or any other observational tool. The walk will meet at the stone benches by the wetland boardwalk. The paths and boardwalks are well maintained but can be muddy in places. Limited free parking is available in the Alewife Reservation lot on Acorn Drive. Please join the Cambridge Public Library and the American Repertory Theater for an afternoon of Wonder! To celebrate the much-anticipated new A.R.T. musical "Wonder," we'll be watching the 2017 movie adaptation of R.J. Palacio's book. Enjoy the movie on the big screen in our Lecture Hall, then browse our display of related books. All attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for four free tickets to a performance of "Wonder" at the A.R.T.

The Cambridge Community Learning Center (CLC), which provides free job training and educational classes to adult learners, received 360 digital devices through MBI's Connected and Online Program. Additionally, the Cambridge Public Library announced Tech for All in March, a program funded through MBI’s Municipal Digital Equity Implementation Program and the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. Through Tech for All, 68 refurbished laptops and 83 mobile Wi-Fi hotspots were distributed to eligible Library patrons, funded by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.

Celebrate Earth Day at the Central Square Branch of the Cambridge Public Library! Come decorate a terracotta pot or recycled planter, then plant a seed in your new pot to take home to watch grow.
