Live at the Library: Rosalita's Puppets: Puppet-Making Workshop (Main)
Join us for a 60-minute puppet-making workshop following the performance of, Enchanted Castle, by Rosalita's Puppets. For children ages 5 and up and their caregivers. This program can accommodate 30 children. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. Summer Reading: Live Animal Program with Harvard Alpaca Ranch (O'Neill)
Alpacas from the Harvard Alpaca Ranch will be visiting the library for an educational program and meet and greet. Join us to learn more about alpacas and take some time to say hello! This event is intended for school-age children. No registration required.

Animal Ambassadors with Mass Audubon (Main)
Celebrate Jasmine Warga's new book, The Unlikely Tale of Chase and Finnegan, about an unlikely friendship between a cheetah and a rescue dog who are paired as an animal ambassador team at a zoo — at this special event with Mass Audubon! Meet local wildlife ambassadors and discover the amazing adaptations that help them survive in the wild. Ask questions and learn what you can do to protect the wildlife of Cambridge. Wild Things with Cambridge Society for Early Music (Valente)
It's time for a wild rumpus! Join in a game of musical charades featuring quirky 17th century chamber music mimicking members of the animal kingdom and other zaniness. Sandra Boynton's simple yet poignant counting book Hippos Go Berserk and Maurice Sendak's timeless classic Where the Wild Things Are may leave you hungry for a bedtime snack! Music of Heinrich Biber and Nicola Matteis performed on violin and theorbo/baroque guitar.
No registration required. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
This program will replace Valente's weekly Sing-Along on Tuesday, June 9.
Summer Reading: Hooping Program with Wildkat Hoops (Valente)
This program will happen outdoors at Donnelly Field. In case of inclement weather, it will occur in the gym at King Open School.
Put on your dancing shoes for an unforgettable workshop of hula hoop magic with Kat Suwalski! You will learn basic hooping moves while increasing hand-eye coordination, strength, balance, and agility. No prior hooping experience is required. Hoops are provided. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.
