Bring a kids' book or two to swap and go home with a new book for yourself! People of all ages who enjoy kids' books are welcome. Please do not bring more than one or two books. You are welcome to take home a book even if you did not bring one. Contributions will not be accepted in advance of the event.

Join friends at the O'Neill Branch to build, build, BUILD! Let your imagination run wild with LEGOs, Magna-Tiles and other building toys. The Library has plenty of LEGO pieces, so you don't need to bring your own. For children ages 5 and up. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children.

Cambridge has joined a growing global movement of cities supporting sustainable, plant-based food systems in order to combat climate change and promote public health. The City Council unanimously endorsed the global Plant Based Treaty, following Los Angeles and 64 other cities around the world.

Join Central Square's cookbook club! This month, we're cooking from In Bibi's Kitchen: The Recipes and Stories of Grandmothers from the Eight African Countries that Touch the Indian Ocean by Hawa Hassan. This project would install automatic doors at multiple branches of the Cambridge Public Library. Automatic doors will help make libraries more accessible to the public.

The Commission on Immigrant Rights and Citizenship (CIRC) created a New Resident Guide to serve as a resource for new arrivals in Cambridge. This overview provides information on key, Cambridge-specific providers in the service areas most commonly needed by new immigrants.

Create an art installation celebrating Cambridge as the first City in the United States to issue same-sex marriage licenses. The planning and design process will include local artists, LGBTQ+ groups and advocates, and the general public.
