Health Insurance Open enrollment for active City employees and non-Medicare eligible retirees will be held this year from February 10-28, 2025. Please review your current health insurance elections and submit any changes you would like to make via the online portal no later than Friday, February 28, 2025.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced a new preregistration signup tool will be available for the state’s 7 mass vaccination sites starting Friday, March 12. The new system will make it easier to request and book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at a nearby location when they are available.

March Selection: What Can I Bring? by Casey Elsass. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24-25, and Thursday, January 1. We also want residents to be aware that the Cambridge Police Department expects reports of package thefts to increase this time of year, particularly with more residents doing their shopping online.

The City of Cambridge and Community Development Department today announced the addition of community solar to its long-standing Sunny Cambridge program. Now all Cambridge residents, regardless of whether they rent or own, can leverage online tools and resources from Sunny Cambridge to shop and compare community solar projects or rooftop solar installations.
