Chestnut Street from Sydney St. to Pleasant St. is scheduled for reconstruction in 2023 as part of the City's Five Year Plan for Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction.
Summer Reading: Pajama Story Time Outdoors at the Fresh Pond Apartments (O'Neill)
Come to the playground in your pajamas to listen to stories, read with your children and enjoy a snack before bed! This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers.
This summer Pajama Story Time will happen outside in the playground area at the Fresh Pond Apartments. In case of bad weather, the story time will happen inside the Community Room of 362 Rindge Ave.
Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.

The Rise Up Cambridge program empowers residents to decide how to best meet their basic needs and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Cambridge is utilizing the direct cash assistance approach to positively impact some of its most vulnerable families as they strive for economic stability, access to education and opportunity, and improved health.
CANCELED - Youth Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) (Valente)
Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join three sessions of the table-top game Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), as we build our cooperative role-play and storytelling skills. The first session will include time to build characters and review rules of gameplay. Following sessions will follow a storyline through to the final session.
Registration is required, as the program is capped at 6 players. Please plan to attend all sessions! Registering for Session 1 includes the following weekly sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join.

Herb of the Month Class: Mint (O'Connell)
Immerse yourself in the magic and medicine of mint! Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy at the O'Connell Branch Library for an hour and half of learning all about this powerful plant. We will connect with mint through smell, taste, drawing, science, and storytelling. Move beyond "mint for a stomachache" and learn all about the chemistry of why and how mint is able to have such a profound effect on our body. This class is for anyone, beginner or experienced, who wants to build a closer relationship with mint!

This June and July, Cambridge comes alive with the world's game. Cambridge United is a free, citywide series of outdoor soccer screenings and community celebrations — open to everyone, happening right in your neighborhood.

Now in its 19th Year, CPD Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive Returns
CPD's Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive is Back for Its 19th Year. This program relies solely on generous donations from Cambridge businesses, residents, community members, and CPD employees. Gift bags are organized and distributed to seniors throughout the city on the days leading up to Christmas to remind them that they are not forgotten.
The program is a great way to support Local Businesses and Seniors This Holiday Season. Gifts can be dropped off 24/7 at drop boxes in the first-floor main lobby of the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility at 125 Sixth Street in Cambridge through Monday, December 19th.
