A Common Victualler License is issued by the Cambridge License Commission and governed by Massachusetts General Laws, Ch. 140, Sec. 2-9. Every food service establishment in the City of Cambridge with capabilities for cooking, preparing, and serving food is required to have a Common Victualler License.

The goal of the STEAM Careers Exploration Program, offered through the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program, is to encourage teens – especially those from communities historically excluded from STEM opportunities - to pursue higher-level STEM classes in high school, decide to major in STEM fields in college, or otherwise follow a training path that leads to a well-paying career at a local company.

The Community Preservation Act (CPA) helps cities and towns preserve the character of their community. A 3% CPA surcharge is included with Property Tax bills to fund affordable housing, open space, and historic preservation projects.

The City of Cambridge announced the next round of small business relief grants today which will award over $2,000,000 to eligible Cambridge businesses. Earlier this year, the City offered grants to restaurants and night life venues and this grant program is open to businesses across multiple sectors.

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. In response to community feedback, the Council on Aging is extending the Navigating Loss Conversational Group. Community members are invited to join the Council on Aging to explore grief and how it impacts our lives. We will also share resources, coping strategies, and personal experiences. All are welcome.

An abatement is a reduction in the tax assessed annually on your motor vehicle. To dispute your valuation or assessment or to correct any other billing problem or error that caused your tax bill to be higher than it should be, you must apply for an abatement.
