This class teaches Tai Chi arm and leg movements of the yang style long form. There is a strong emphasis on Tai Chi walking, which has been known to improve balance.

Join us for an hour of drumming with Ammaya Dance and Drum to celebrate Juneteenth! This event is recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers. When Liam and his two younger sisters find out they will have to give away their beloved (if unhousebroken) dog Cupcake or risk being kicked out of their apartment, they cook up extreme and hilarious schemes to keep the dog. Copies of this month's book are available at the Children's Desk. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Property owners/residents are responsible for removing all snow and ice from sidewalks and accessible ramps next to their property following a storm per City Ordinance. Ice needs to be removed within 6 hours from the time it forms, and snow needs to be removed within 12 hours after snow stops falling during the day and before 1 p.m. if it snowed during the night, per City Ordinance. The Lechmere Canal Park Committee is comprised of representative of the properties abutting the park and provides advice and counsel to the City of Cambridge regarding the managment of Lechmere Canal Park.

It’s officially spring and city staff are working diligently to prepare City fields for the spring sports season! While synthetic turf is already being used, the winter thaw and snow melt have made grass fields soggy and vulnerable to damage if they are used before adequate preparation. We expect all fields to open for athletic use by early April.
