As the City considers projects and programs to be implemented using its allocation, the City wants to ensure that planned uses of the funding incorporate input and feedback from constituents, community-based organizations, and other community stakeholders. As such, you are invited to submit initiative ideas for City consideration using the below form. The form is tailored so that submitted ideas are consistent with the minimum range of funding use options as established by ARPA and U.S. Treasury regulations.

The Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB) promotes public safety by educating and informing the public to prevent further victimization. SORB registers and classifies convicted sex offenders according to their risk of re-offense and the degree of danger they pose. If a sex offender resides, works, or attends school in Massachusetts they must register. Public release information about a sex offender is dependent on their classification level.

The Finance Department is responsible for the City's operating and capital finances, and fort processing payments for real estate and personal property taxes, municipal lien certificates, motor vehicle excise tax, and water bills.

Burning fossil fuels releases greenhouse gas emissions. They’re the main driver of climate change and also cause local environmental and human health impacts in Cambridge. That’s why the City is actively working to reduce fossil fuels throughout municipal operations and our community.

This month, City Manager Louis A. DePasquale and his staff provided a high-level overview of the City's COVID-19 response. While the presentation is not a comprehensive list of the extensive efforts undertaken to support our community over the past year, it provides significant insights into the work that City staff have been engaged in to meet community needs and keep core City services functioning.

Craft will talk about his work, answer questions from the audience and sign books. Porter Square Books will have books available for sale. This event takes place in the Lecture Hall (L2) with limited overflow seating in the Community Room. Recommended for ages 8 and up. About the Lecture The annual lecture is an initiative sponsored by the Cambridge Public Library, the Curious George Fund and the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. The series aims to bring the community together to celebrate outstanding and engaging books for young readers. About the Author Jerry Craft is The New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of the graphic novels New Kid, Class Act, and School Trip. New Kid is the only book in history to win the John Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children’s literature (2020), the Kirkus Prize for Young Readers’ Literature (2019), and the Coretta Scott King Author Award for the most outstanding work by an African American writer (2020). Jerry was born in Harlem and grew up in the Washington Heights section of New York City, and now travels the world telling kids and their families about the importance of reading.
