Roadway Paving of Various Locations on October 4th and 5th
Beginning September 26th, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will be performing partial roadway milling (grinding) and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of streets around the City. The roadway grinding operation at each location is expected take two days followed by paving of the roadway later that same week, or the following week (weather permitting).

This class is temporarily being held at the Main Library while the Valente Branch Library is closed.

CDD Will Host Public Comment Session for Utilization of HUD Grants
The Community Development Department will hold an information and public comment session in preparation of the City’s FY2026 Annual Action Plan and FY2026-2030 Consolidated Plan. The purpose of the session is to solicit public comments on affordable housing, economic development, public service and other community development needs as they relate to low and moderate-income Cambridge residents, and HOPWA qualifying residents across Middlesex and Essex counties.

We will adapt the tale "The Tortoise and the Hare" and perform our masterpiece for family and friends. Using a ChompSaw (a kid-safe power tool), participants will safely cut cardboard to create shadow puppets. This four-week puppetry workshop is for youth ages 7-10. We will meet on March 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Registration is required. Participants much attend all sessions and have read a version of the tale before the first session. Visit the Children's Room to pick up a copy of the book or call 617-349-4038.

May 31 Weekend Traffic Alert
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout the weekend due to scheduled community events on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. Events include the Attic Block Party (affecting Harvard Square) and the Cambridge 5K at CambridgeSide.
COVID 19 Vaccine Clinic
The Cambridge Public Health Department is offering a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the War Memorial Recreation Center on Wednesday, August 31. All members of the Cambridge community ages 12 and older are welcome.
