Residents can enjoy the two indoor pools at the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.) year-round. Gold Star Pool (123 Berkshire St.) is on outdoor pool open to the public during summer months.

Danehy Park is a popular, 50-acre park in north Cambridge. For more than 30 years, residents and visitors have enjoyed the park’s athletic fields, walking paths, playgrounds, public art, dog park, and community events. We want Danehy Park to continue being a place that everyone can enjoy. We are starting a community process to gather ideas, information, and feedback about how to make Danehy even better!

Cambridge’s AxisGIS web map is our most robust interactive mapping solution. AxisGIS gives city staff and the public access to explore a variety of themes. It has many features which allow users to view, query, and create maps. Users can also export selected datasets, generate abutters list for mailings, use measurement tools, mark up maps, send links to other users by e-mail, and more!

Cambridge, the pioneering city that issued the first same-sex marriage licenses in the nation in May 2004, is preparing to commemorate 20 years of marriage equality. Over the course of four days, the Office of the Mayor and the City will be hosting three events.

The Department of Transportation will host an information session about the EZRide Shuttle and its recently expanded schedule. This event will include a short presentation on the EZRide, which is a shuttle bus service that is open to the public for free. The Shuttle goes from North Station through Kendall Square and MIT to Cambridgeport on weekdays. We will show the route and its recently expanded schedule, including the new weekend service. The City of Cambridge is proposing a new Community Safety Department (CSD) that will coordinate community driven solutions to enhance safety in the community, with key services and programs targeted at our most vulnerable populations.

The Cambridge Arts Council and Gallery 344 are located in the renovated City Hall Annex at 344 Broadway. We welcome everyone to visit our space and to view the large-scale wall paintings created by Mike Glier for the Annex. We also invite you to view current and future projects at Gallery 344 attend our public events. The objective of the programming at Gallery 344 is to explore and advance the role of art in public life. We involve local, regional, and national artists in exhibitions and educational programming that engage our audience throughout the City and beyond.

The Transit Advisory Committee provides advice to city staff on city and state projects related to transit. The Committee gives advice and input to the city on how to improve and promote public transportation. This includes the transit services of the MBTA, EZRide, and other shuttles in the city.

The Administration announced that effective Monday, February 8th at 5:00 AM, businesses can operate at 40% capacity. This is an increase from an existing order limiting capacity to 25% for many businesses that expires Monday.
