Broadway Park AHO Community Meeting
JAS held an initial community meeting on January 14th, 2025 to introduce themselves and the project to the community. They are holding another community meeting on July 24th at 6 p.m. at 243 Broadway, Cambridge and via Zoom to present updated designs and to collect feedback. Fallen CPD Officers Honored at Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025 members of the CPD Command Staff and Honor Guard represented the department as part of the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial’s Thirty-Sixth Memorial Ceremony. The Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial is located on the grounds of the Massachusetts State House and pays tribute to the members of law enforcement who have lost their lives in the line of duty. During this ceremony, five members of CPD who lost their lives in the line of duty were formally recognized for their service and sacrifice.
Activities and Classes
The Senior Center offer a variety of recreational classes, from fitness to dance to art along with language classes and technology assistance.
Stay at Home Order
On March 31, Governor Baker extended the stay-at-home advisory and non-essential business closure that was set to expire on April 7 until May 4, the same date that schools are to remain closed until. The 10-person limit on gatherings in the state has been extended as well, following a similar extension by the federal government.
Pedestrian Sub-Committees
When a topic needs deeper examination than time allows at the general Pedestrian Committee meetings, a smaller, focused sub-committee group is formed and meets separately.
