Join the Council on Aging and Community Development Department this spring for leisurely group rides and bike skills workshops. These opportunities are offered through the Healthy Aging and Cycling series and are open to Cambridge residents ages 60 and older.

Signs for Inclusion: Fun & Practical ASL for Everyday Communication Join us for a fun, interactive introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) and inclusive communication. Participants will learn practical everyday signs, respectful ways to interact with Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, expressive communication techniques, and simple real-life ASL scenarios. This activity-based workshop includes silent communication challenges, group participation, and engaging sign language games designed to build confidence and connection through communication. Increase accessibility for people with hearing disabilities by installing technology that provides direct audio input to most hearing aid and cochlear implant users in a public meeting space such as a library or City Hall meeting room.

Provide much needed supplies for previously unhoused Cambridge residents to set up their home in their new apartment. Upon leasing, these residents will receive a Home Furnishings Kit which will include bed, bath, and kitchen essentials.

The city does evaluations of major projects upon completion to see how the end result meets the goals set for the project and whether there are any lessons for future projects.
