As part of the Social Justice Group, the Cambridge Police Department also has one officer assigned to senior outreach

Pre-registration Required. The four-week workshop will cover a variety of topics including: an overview of the home buying process, credit & budgeting, obtaining a mortgage, legal issues, home inspections, and an introduction to Cambridge's financial assistance programs. Classes include a combination of presentations by Cambridge homebuyer counselors, local real estate brokers, home inspectors and loan officers. Participants are expected to attend all four classes and class begins promptly at 6:00pm.

He emphasizes the City's strong investments in affordable housing, climate action, public safety, and education, while reaffirming a commitment to transparency, accountability, and community engagement. Looking ahead to 2025, he expresses gratitude for the collaborative efforts of City staff, residents, and partners, and excitement for the opportunities to continue building a better Cambridge.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced that Massachusetts will reopen some outdoor Phase 4, Step 2 industries effective May 10th and put plans in place for further reopening on May 29th and August 1st. The Administration continues to take steps to reopen the Commonwealth's economy with public health metrics continuing to trend in a positive direction. This includes drops in average daily COVID cases and hospitalizations. Massachusetts remains first in the nation for first vaccine doses and total doses administered per capita, among states with more than 5 million people. The Administration will also relax the Face Coverings Order for some outdoor settings, effective April 30th.

Join us for a morning walk at one of the most renowned birdwatching spots in Cambridge, Mount Auburn Cemetery! We will help you identify birds, learn birdwatching tips and tricks, and familiarize yourself with migratory birds as well as those that can be spotted all year round. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. UPDATE: With the May 28th reopening of the Collins Branch Library, this walk will now meet in the courtyard of the Collins Branch at 64 Aberdeen Ave. Welcome back! Registration is required. This event can only accommodate a certain number of participants. One registration is good for one person. If you do not register, you cannot participate.
