Welcome to the River Street Construction Webpage! This is the place to find current information and updates related to construction of the River Street Infrastructure and Streetscape Project. The project includes utility and surface reconstruction of the following streets and public spaces: • River Street from Memorial Drive to Massachusetts Avenue • Carl Barron Plaza (the major public space at the intersection of River Street/Western Ave/Mass Ave in Central Square) • The MBTA bus stops and busway at Magazine/Green/River Street adjacent to Carl Barron Plaza • Pleasant Street and Tubman Square between Pleasant Place and River Street • Green Street between Magazine and Pearl Street • Magazine Street between Franklin and Green Street • Blackstone Street In addition, the project includes the following nearby neighborhood streets which are due for reconstruction under the City's Five Year Sidewalk and Street Reconstruction Plan • Fairmont Avenue / Fairmont Street / Rockwell Street / Laurel Street / Kelly Road

Paint Your Truth is a community based process painting therapeutic workshop. This in-person event allows you to express your emotions through the power of painting. Let go of stress and connect with others in a supportive environment. No painting experience needed, just an open heart and mind. Come and discover the healing power of art! Join us for a book discussion and hangout each month as we read books that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ experience. All readers age 12-15 welcome! Registration is required. The City's Green Job Specialist educates Cambridge residents about green jobs, supports them in finding and applying to green jobs, and hosts events to raise awareness about green jobs.

The February 25 meeting of the Family Policy Council is cancelled.

The Cambridge Youth Boxing and Fitness Program is a collaboration between the Cambridge Police Department Family and Social Justice Section and the Cambridge YMCA. It is a gender inclusive, non-contact, fitness-based boxing program for Cambridge youth in grades 6-12.

Resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) older adults and their families and opportunities to socialize with other LGBT older adults, and to connect with the wide network of resources in the community.

The Cambridge Pedestrian Committee works to create a more comfortable, safe, and pleasant environment for walking in Cambridge, and promotes walking as a means of transportation, for health, and for enjoyment.

The MBTA Income-Eligible Reduced Fare Program offers discounted MBTA passes to eligible Cambridge residents between the ages of 18-64 who are enrolled in an approved state assistance program. Applicants need to provide a photo ID and proof of enrollment in a state assistance program.
