To enhance pedestrian safety and follow MassDOT recommendations, this project will add a minimum of five new crosswalks to major streets.
Start a Career as an Early Childhood Teacher
The Early Childhood Education Career Training Program is recruiting participants for its 2026-2027 cycle. This free program provides training and job experience for people who want to start a career as an infant, toddler or preschool teacher. The program runs from October 2026 to June 2027.
FloodViewer Mapping Tool
The Flood Viewer has been developed as an informational tool for the Cambridge community to assess climate change threats from flooding and to prepare for it by implementing specific strategies. . It is recognized that projected flood information presented in the Flood Viewer are based on climate change scenarios that are drawn from the best available science but involve ranges of uncertainty. The provided flood information will need to be revisited frequently to ensure that our community preparedness efforts continue to reflect updated projections specific to local climate change.
Open Data Workshop
The City of Cambridge offers free access to hundreds of datasets on its Open Data Portal, covering everything from crime and traffic to property and even dog names. Join us for a hands-on workshop at the Cambridge Public Library to explore what's available and learn how to analyze and visualize this data — including how to use AI tools for data exploration. Six Years Later, Search Continues for Mitchel Iviquel
It has been six years since Mitchel Iviquel has been seen by family members or friends. The U.S. Army veteran was believed to be unhoused in the Central Square neighborhood of Cambridge at the time of her disappearance. Anyone with information on her current whereabouts is asked to contact Cambridge Police Detectives.
