2025 Municipal Election Voting Overview
The Municipal Election will be held on November 4, 2025. Find information regarding voter registration, voting by mail, voting early in-person, voting on Election Day, and specimen ballots for the election. Additionally, learn more about the three ballots: City Council, School Committee, and the ballot question.
1 - East Cambridge
Once a village of its own, East Cambridge is one of Cambridge's oldest residential neighborhoods and is historically home to many of the city's industries, both old and new. It sits along the Charles River north of Kendall Square and east of the Grand Junction Railroad.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. This month's story is "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" by Ursula K. LeGuin. Copies of the story will be provided, and no preparation is need. Registration helpful but not required.

Apply for an Annual Sidewalk Business Use Permit
A business use sidewalk obstruction permit is required if you are a business in the City of Cambridge and want to use an “A” framed sign, sandwich board, display merchandise, temporary banner or use tables and chairs on a sidewalk in the public way.
