Beginning the August 10, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, Newport Construction, will be performing roadway milling (grinding) and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of street around the City.

The City actively works with developers to ensure that Traffic Demand Management incentives are in place.

The Cambridge STEAM Initiative is a joint effort of the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Schools, and the Cambridge Public Library. We work with our local K-12 schools and universities, community organizations, City departments, employers, and residents to open doors to opportunities and career pathways in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. The Birth to 3rd Grade Partnership (B3), continued its scholarship program for 3 and 4 year-olds from low-income families, adding two new programs to its menu of preschool options, and also increased its number of children accessing B3 scholarships by 13%.

This summer, 276 Cambridge pre-teens and middle schoolers participated in Cambridge Youth Programs’ (CYP) summer programs at Youth Centers. CYP also offered a variety of teen programming and internship opportunities to Cambridge teens.
