Children and their grown-ups are invited to this special kid-centered cookbook club! This month, we're celebrating noodles and pasta recipes! Bring a dish to share, or just come to talk about your experience with a chosen cookbook. No need to bring a dish to join. Visit Valente for a selection of cookbooks that are ready to check out. Join in to reflect on and identify goals for the new year as we create visual representations of those goals with collage! Crafting materials such as paper, magazines, scissors, and glue sticks are provided. No registration needed, no cost. Join us for a guided 30-minute Tactile Talk featuring the 102 beloved mosaics recently reinstalled after extensive conservation at Millers River Apartments. These murals were originally created in 1979 by Lilli Ann Rosenberg with help from residents and children. We will meet at the entrance to Millers River Apartments at 15 Lambert St. This event is part of our Time Out for Public Art series in collaboration with Cambridge Arts. In September, these will be Tactile Talks, shorter visits perfect for all ages and abilities. Registration is required.

Did you know that community members can enjoy Fresh Pond Golf Course all winter? While the last day of golf for the 2024 season was December 9, the course will remain open for passive recreation during winter months.

Children ages 5 and up are invited to join us to play with watercolor and experiment with texture. Each child will have the chance to make several abstract paintings to test out this art form! Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.
