Community Preservation Act Committee Funding Allocation Hearing
The Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the funding allocation percentages for Affordable Housing, Open Space / Recreation, and Historic Preservation projects eligible for Community Preservation Act funding in FY26.
2025 City Manager Performance Review
This is the third year Cambridge has conducted a City Manager Performance Review, which is an important commitment to transparency and accountability. This next step will be followed by the City Council’s formal evaluation delivered at a Special City Council Meeting in December.
PB Cycle 11
Voting has now ended for the eleventh cycle of Participatory Budgeting in Cambridge! From March 6-16, Cambridge residents could vote on projects to improve the City in PB11. Attend the PB11 Vote Results Party on March 20, 2025 at Cambridge City Hall (795 Massachusetts Avenue) from 6:00-7:30 p.m. to hear the announcement of the winning PB11 projects! This event is free for the public, food and drink will be provided.
COVID-19 Vaccination Data Reporting Changes
This week, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) made several changes in the way it reports data related to COVID-19. Importantly, MDPH has worked with the UMASS Donahue Institute to update population estimates for each municipality in the Commonwealth.

Who We Are
The DGBVPI engages and mobilizes Cambridge’s communities, agencies, and City departments to change attitudes, behaviors, policies, and practices to prevent and bring attention to domestic and gender-based violence. Services include training, consultation, building collaborations across various sectors in Cambridge, and coordination of systems of change in order to ensure compassionate and supportive environments for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence across the city.
