Central Square Bus Access and Circulation Study
The City of Cambridge hired a consultant to study the transit routing, circulation, and access for MBTA routes (1, CT1, 47, 64, 70, 70A, 83, and 91) around Central Square. The purpose of the study was to develop recommendations for reducing crowding for people waiting for the bus and to improve access to and circulation around Central Square.
First/Second Street Corridor Study
Through the study, the City will work with the community and a stakeholder group to identify how to provide safe and comfortable north/south travel connections for people of all ages and abilities, regardless of their mode of transportation, between Binney Street and Cambridge Street.

Six Years Later, Search Continues for Mitchel Iviquel
It has been six years since Mitchel Iviquel has been seen by family members or friends. The U.S. Army veteran was believed to be unhoused in the Central Square neighborhood of Cambridge at the time of her disappearance. Anyone with information on her current whereabouts is asked to contact Cambridge Police Detectives.
Small Business Enhancement Program

Securing housing but have a criminal record
Through the Cambridge Second Chance Program, members of the Cambridge Police Department’s Clinical Support Unit work with eligible residents and various partners through the Cambridge Community Court to seal their statutorily-eligible CORI (criminal offender record information) in order to help support long-term, unhoused residents who have not been able to secure housing due to their criminal records.
