We will adapt the tale "The Tortoise and the Hare" and perform our masterpiece for family and friends. Using a ChompSaw (a kid-safe power tool), participants will safely cut cardboard to create shadow puppets. This four-week puppetry workshop is for youth ages 7-10. We will meet on March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Registration is required. Participants much attend all sessions and have read a version of the tale before the first session. Participants will explore how to build and develop a D&D character, gaining the skills to recreate or expand their own characters in the future. This event is recommended for children ages 8 and up. Join us for a game of chess at the O'Neill Branch! Players of all skill levels and all ages are welcome to participate. Chess sets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. This is a space for individuals to play and test their skills against other members of the community. This is not an instructional class. The Expressive Healing Group is a support group co-facilitated by the Central Square Branch Manager, Ruby Vail, and the Library Social Worker, Brett Dixon, that offers a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore healing and self-expression through the art of creative writing.
