Pride Concert with the Grumpytime Club (Main)
Cambridge Main Library celebrates pride with the Grumpytime Club! The Grumpytime Club’s original music for children and their caregivers is creative, positive, thoughtful, beautifully crafted, and catchy as cake! Led by award-winning singer songwriter Carrie Ferguson, the Grumpytime Club creates live shows that are often jubilant sing-along dance parties, highlighting themes of inclusivity, social justice, Earth stewardship and LGBTQ youth/family JOY! Party in the Curious George Room with families of all ages, and join CPL in showing your pride!
Tai Chi Under the Tree (Main)
Explore Qigong warm-ups and the elements of Tai Chi with instructor Ellen DeGenova. This class offers highly adaptable and accessible ways of moving for everyone. No experience necessary. A seated option will be available. Registration is preferred but not required. In case of inclement weather, this event will take place in the Community Room
Community Preservation Act
The Community Preservation Act (CPA) helps cities and towns preserve the character of their community. A 3% CPA surcharge is included with Property Tax bills to fund affordable housing, open space, and historic preservation projects.
Wireless Speakers for Youth Centers
Adding wireless surround sound speakers to the youth centers benefits young people doing homework, playing basketball and other activities. Bringing music to the youth centers will bring more youth to these centers.
